Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 25, 2026
MVM is designed to collect the information necessary to operate an AI visibility measurement service while limiting unnecessary exposure of customer research data. This Privacy Policy explains the categories of information we process, why we process them, how we approach analytics and account-level privacy, and the choices available to account holders. “MVM” means Minimum Viable Metric.
Information you provide
When you create or use an MVM account, we may receive account information such as your email address, account or entity name, authentication and recovery information, account status and service entitlements. When you configure an experiment, you may provide questions, prompts, business context, product or market information, and other inputs necessary to perform the requested measurement.
MVM also creates and stores the research artifacts needed to deliver the service, which may include experiment configuration, provider responses, measurements derived from those responses, citations and source information, reports, CSV exports and archived report artifacts.
Billing and order information
MVM may retain order information such as the service purchased, customer price paid, currency, pricing or order version and payment-processor references needed to reconcile the transaction. When hosted or tokenized payment processing is used, MVM is not intended to store raw payment-card numbers or card security codes.
Operational information and analytics
We collect limited operational information needed to keep the service reliable and secure. This may include request timing, errors, queue and retry state, provider usage and cost records, capacity metrics, security events and aggregate product usage.
Our analytics design follows a minimization principle. We may measure account-level activity in aggregate, but routine analytics and ordinary operational review are intended to be blinded from precise customer research content wherever aggregate or de-identified information is sufficient.
That does not mean precise account data is technically inaccessible in every circumstance. Narrow access may be necessary to deliver the service, provide support you request, protect the service or your account, recover from failures, comply with legal obligations, or troubleshoot a problem that cannot reasonably be resolved from blinded telemetry.
How we use information
We use information to provide and improve MVM, authenticate accounts, execute requested measurements, generate and archive reports, maintain reliability and security, manage capacity, prevent abuse, communicate about account or service events, and meet legal obligations.
Retention
Operational and product analytics are retained for a limited period measured in days, not years. Archived reports, CSVs and customer research data follow a separate retention model so customers can access their completed work until deletion or another disclosed retention rule applies.
Deletion and export
Before deleting an account, MVM offers a downloadable ZIP containing archived reports and CSV exports. Account deletion promptly revokes active sessions and disables sign-in. Deleted accounts may remain recoverable for a limited period: creating an account with the same email address during that period and confirming a code sent to that address restores the original account and its data. After that period the account identity, memberships and workspace access are removed and the login is erased. Backup copies may remain until they expire through the normal backup lifecycle.
Service providers
MVM relies on service providers to operate the product: AI model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI and Perplexity), a search data provider (SerpApi), hosting and database infrastructure (DigitalOcean), email delivery (Resend), analytics (Google Analytics) and payment processing (Stripe). Each receives only the information needed to perform its function.
Your choices and contact
Account holders can access their account, use available export tools, update credentials and request account deletion through the product. MVM is operated by Minimum Viable Metric in Kansas, United States. Additional privacy rights may apply based on your jurisdiction; to exercise them or ask a question, reach us through the contact page.
