Terms of Service
Last updated: September 25, 2026
These Terms govern access to and use of MVM. By creating an account, purchasing or launching a measurement, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. “MVM” means Minimum Viable Metric.
The service
MVM provides AI visibility measurement, field discovery, analytical reports, CSV exports and related research tools. Precision and Adaptive are different measurement modes and may use different scopes, observation counts and analytical processes.
AI systems, search surfaces, citations, web sources and provider behavior are controlled by third parties and can change. MVM reports observations and analytical inferences from the evidence available at the time of measurement. We do not guarantee rankings, traffic, revenue, market share, business outcomes or future behavior by third-party AI systems.
Orders, pricing and limits
The applicable service configuration and customer price are presented before purchase or launch. Once purchased, the order record preserves the customer price paid rather than reconstructing it from later pricing.
MVM may enforce account-level and system-level limits on experiment size, response count, concurrency, provider or surface access, and other resource use. Unusually large orders may require manual or enterprise approval. Product safety limits may apply regardless of account tier.
MVM is designed around a pay-only-for-what-you-need principle, but this does not mean Adaptive will always cost less than Precision or use fewer observations. Precision may be the most economical option when the questions are already known. Adaptive may require additional investigation where evidence remains uncertain or meaningful adjacent territory is discovered.
Execution and provider capacity
Accepted work may be queued and processed as capacity becomes available. Provider/API capacity, third-party outages and rate limits may affect throughput. MVM does not promise unlimited simultaneous provider execution.
MVM is designed to preserve accepted work across browser closure and to recover from certain process restarts and transient provider failures. Retry behavior is bounded to reduce unnecessary or ambiguous repeated provider calls.
Accounts and security
Your email address is used as the login identifier. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for activity performed through authorized sessions. MVM provides tools to reset passwords, revoke sessions and otherwise protect an account.
Account identity, service entitlement and billing are separate concerns. An account may be manually provisioned or otherwise entitled without a payment-processor relationship.
Acceptable use
You may not use MVM to interfere with the service, bypass account or system limits, gain unauthorized access to another account, abuse third-party providers, or engage in unlawful activity. MVM may suspend or restrict activity that is fraudulent, abusive, security-threatening or materially resource-exhausting.
Customer data and exports
You retain responsibility for the information you submit and for ensuring you have the right to provide it for measurement. Completed reports and CSV exports remain available through the account archive according to the applicable retention policy.
Before voluntary account deletion, MVM offers an export of archived reports and CSVs. Deleted accounts may remain recoverable for a limited period before permanent removal. Data retained in backups is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
MVM is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that measurements reflect how any third-party AI system will behave at another time or for another user.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minimum Viable Metric is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or business, arising from or related to the service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid MVM for the measurement giving rise to the claim.
You agree to indemnify Minimum Viable Metric against claims arising from information you submit for measurement or from your breach of these Terms.
Payments, refunds and cancellation
Measurements are paid in advance and the paid price is final at purchase. All sales are final; purchases are non-refundable. Accepted work is durable and MVM will complete a measurement you have paid for.
Authority, changes and governing law
By using MVM you confirm you are at least 18 years old and, if acting for an organization, that you have authority to bind it to these Terms. We may update these Terms; the date at the top reflects the current version, and continued use after a change constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Kansas.
